OK, listen closely so I can show you what I see, trust me, it will be worth it to read all of this.

Here goes… When I was growing up I was taught it was more important to ask the right questions than to give the right answers. I always wondered why but I think I finally have it figured out. If you don’t ask the right questions you will only pay attention to what is being shown you rather than what those in power are trying to hide.

Modern day politicians are nothing more than sleight-of-hand artists. They get you to pay attention to something controversial while they are executing misdeeds in the shadows. In the USA we have a document called the Constitution and 99.99% of the time when you see a politician start harping on some controversial issue you can rest assured someone in the Federal Government is trying to pass a law to subvert the Constitution and wants the news cycle focused on something else.

At first I thought such an idea far-fetched. However once you start looking closely it is painfully evident. It is simple, there is only so many column inches available daily in Newspapers the same goes for TV Broadcast hours. So if you want to control the News cycle then all you must do is advance a controversial story and it will FILL the news cycle crowding out any other story you don’t want the public to know about or focus on.

So ask yourself this question, why did Obama Administration release the torture memos when they did? They will claim a court order made them do so but this is bull>:XX. There are a slew of such court orders for many other issues demanding the release of other government documents but the government lawyers have been working to stop such release since this administration took office but all of the sudden Obama decided to grant this one release.

Do you remember what was dominating the News Cycle prior to the memo release? Well at least on much of the internet and Fox News… anyhow. ABCCBSNBCMSNABC weren’t covering the story instead were ridiculing it. But lo and behold bammo that story is off of the front page and now all we are discussing whether the poor mistreated terrorists got waterboarded.

Yea, the story that got knocked off the front page and cable news was The Tax Day Tea Parties. This story was making the administration look bad and it was putting the liberal media in a position to either ridicule it or ignore it and both options would hasten the further erosion of their failing enterprises. So it’s Obama to the rescue with the release of the memos. And now we find out that may have been a political miscalculation of epic proportions. Rasmussen Reports released their own memo in the form of one of their polls. They are reporting 58% of Americans say the release of the CIA memos endangers national security!

My feeling is that Obama was getting pressure from Congress and the Networks and the leftwing nutjobs like Soros and his merry band of followers to get control of the News Cycle and since his entire political agenda is diametrically opposed to what the Tea Party movement is all about and thus trying to put forth some new spending measure would have just highlighted the Tea Party movement further. So he had no choice other than to release the memos. Now, this move may be blowing up in his face. Because the memos released were redacted cutting out the section which shows how the waterboarding directly led to information which allowed the Security agencies to stop a 911 type attack on a skyscraper in LA. The story is changing to one of what info was gained and the lives saved because harsh techniques were used.

But the left wing media has taken the story and ran with it to fill up the News cycle and get away from the damaging coverage of the Tea Parties. This creates two problems for the Obama administration. If this sparks a court case then it will set precedent that Obama will be subject too and Presidents as a rule don’t like to expose themselves to the will of the court system, and it will dominate the News Cycle and will dwarf any story Obama and crew try to put forth.

The other problem is the bigger one, its the 500 pound gorilla in the room no one is talking about. Obama has declared no waterboarding or any other harsh techniques will be allowed while he is President, and now he has released memos and the leftwing nutjobs are declaring that such harsh investigations are evil and un-American. That’s all well and good while the sun is shining, however if a terrorist attack is successful while Obama is President he and the left will be politically destroyed. If the attack is more heinous than the 911 attack he even may be impeached. (Americans are notoriously fickle and will turn on anyone who plays loosely with the safety of the homeland!)

So when you view this in the light of controlling the news cycle you can see Obama bluffed with the memos and now he has been called by the left as well as the right. This move may be the biggest bumble since Nixon tried to cover up the Watergate break-in. Time will tell us for sure but while we await the outcome don’t forget to ask, “Why?” every time you hear a politician prattle on about the next big juicy story…
